Queens of the Stoned Age

It has been exactly one year since we filmed Queens of the Stoned Age, the first unscripted show about women and cannabis. Queens of the Stoned Age was inspired by the magical connection between women and cannabis. After I hosted the first cannabis women's circle in Venice, I was obsessed with the idea of turning the concept into a show for the world to see. I approached Merry Jane and pitched the idea of bringing together female cannabis advocates to use cannabis together and talk about important topics like creativity, sexuality and health. Snoop Dogg had the exact same idea and it was on fast-track, so we decided to collaborate. Together we developed Queens of the Stoned Age and filmed three episodes in one day with an all-female cast and crew.

Though the show was a rough "proof of concept" and we failed to represent all of the diverse voices in the industry, we succeeded in showing the world what happens when women use cannabis responsibly. In many ways, the show is a metaphor for what is happening in the industry as women come together to set new standards for leadership, health and happiness.
